丸福珈琲店 千日前本店 Marufuku Coffee Sennichimae Honten
Coffee post lunch, we found this lovely coffee place. Still full from lunch, we opted to share a Cake set (¥1010). The coffee was definitely a perk-me-up. It was strongly bitter and rather acidic, but yet addictive. The chestnut roll was pretty OK, but we preferred the one we tried during our previous trip. It felt like time slowed down inside here! A lovely space to chill 🙂

ミルポア Mill Pour Espresso Bar and 天然酵母パンの店聖庵工房 (closed w.e.f. Jan 2021)
A tiny shop front nearby the hotel we were staying in, we tried the Flat White (¥500) and we thought it was very good! Not overly bitter or acidic, and quite a smooth drink. The latte art was very pretty too!
Just next door was a bakery, and we managed to try a yummy Pear Bun (¥172) the next day when we walked by.
(Note: 天然酵母パンの店聖庵工房 at Shinsaibashi has closed from Jan 2021 and moved to Himejima 大阪府大阪市西淀川区姫島4-17-12)

Streamer Coffee Company Shinsaibashi
Grabbing a quick coffee break before travelling to Kyoto.
We had a Streamer Latte (¥600) and Chai Tea Latte (¥540), but what really surprised us was the Cheese Dog (¥470).
The hotdog turned out more sausage-like and was smoky and flavourful. The bread was warmed and had a nice crisp exterior with the inside soft, reminding us of ciabatta. The entire combination was just so enjoyable!
The coffee was the smoothest and mildest one we had out of the 3 coffee places we tried. Slightly bitter and very easy to drink. A bit expensive but it was a huge cup! The chai latte was not bad, though a tad too sweet for my liking.
