Cafes in Hong Kong

There were many steps to climb and plenty of streets to roam about in Hong Kong, so cafe breaks were very important to rest our legs and to hydrate!

半路咖啡 Halfway Coffee

Our pit stop after admiring some of the street art nearby, where we tried the Iced Americano and Red Date Wolfberry Tea.

The place had an interesting decor and they had a variety of mix-and-match cups, which gave a nice vibe to this small cafe.

Jimmy’s Coffee

A slightly hard-to-find cafe located on the second floor (1/F in Hong Kong’s terminology), and collectively known as 樓上咖啡店 in Hong Kong, Jimmy’s Coffee is actually located in a residential building. We had to press the intercom for the owners to open the doors for us, and had to walk past a building security guard post before reaching the elevator to go up to second floor.

There were a row of window-facing seats where one could watch the world go by. The place was also decorated with cutesy figurines and we thought it was a lovely space to chill.

We were too stuffed to try the food so we had only a Latte and a pot of Hot Tea, but from the happy looks of the other customers, they seemed really satisfied with the food.

Urban Cafe

We were looking for a place to catch up with our friends who were working in Hong Kong, and we decided to check out a cat cafe! I don’t think I have ever been surrounded by so many cats before, lol!

Cat food was available for purchase and wow, the cats would use their paws to guide the humans to give them food. The cats were free to roam around or rest at the pretty tree-like structure, or they could go rest in their hidden area when they wanted a break from the human attention.

Food was surprisingly relatively yummy, considering that the main highlights were the cats. A very fun place for catching up and watching the cats play 🙂
