A simple place for meals
It’s a Monday evening and I had just finished a walk/jog from workplace to Botanic Gardens, and met hubby at Botanic Gardens for a meal at Cluny Court just beside Botanic Gardens.
Incidentally, Cluny Court is a 2-storey old building located just next to Botanic Gardens MRT, the French Embassy, Serene Centre, and across the road from Adam Rd Hawker Centre. This beautiful building houses a variety of shops, including Cold Storage, da Paolo Gastronomia, Brill, Bar Bar Black Sheep, Simply Bread, and of course relish by Wildrocket!
relish by Wildrocket has been around for quite a while already and we have read good reviews on forums and blogs. The place is simply decorated and not too overly crowded with a lot of tables and chairs; there is ample walking space for waiters to walk around with your orders. The atmosphere is simple, cosy and homely and it’s a great place to just hang-out with friends. This place serves weekend brunch too and you can get the normal goodness of Egg Benedict and pratas and ice-cream!

Spam Fries!
Spam fries!!! I love luncheon meat… =D the thick fries by itself isn’t overly salty. Would prefer it to be crispier though. The mayo dip had a very distinctive lemongrass flavour to it, and it adds to the enjoyment of this simple snack.
The wild rocket burger was the highlight of the dinner (and the place)! Big and hearty burger with thick and juicy medium rare beef patty, hubby totally adored the burger! It came with a small side salad with very fresh veggies (you can opt for fries instead) 🙂
The aubergine (eggplant) linguine was a tad disappointing for me though. The linguine itself was cooked al dente and I thought it was excellent! But the sauce was too rich for me… it was very salty 😦 and for the price, I was expecting some more bits of aubergine… oh well.
