The Fabulous Baker Boy @River Valley

It’s a wonderful day and I finally met up with The Fabulous Baker Boy!!

Have been reading and seeing sooo many yummy photos on Instagram about TFBB so I have to try it out. So on this day, on a rainy Thursday afternoon, after running around finishing final errands for our upcoming Taipei trip, I finally found TFBB at the foothill of Fort Canning Park!

It’s really located in a very obscure corner of the park (find your way to Liang Court and TFBB is just opposite in the park, though you need to find the entrance to walk in to the park in the first place!) and the decor is really unpretentious and simple. It’s alfresco dining with lots of fans around to blow the heat away. But what caught my eyes were the rows of yummilicious cakes that were displayed on the cake shelves!

The rain has just subsided and it was an hour before closing, so the kitchen is already closed (saw on their website that there are some delicious food around!). But the star this afternoon was not the food but the cakes! It’s after all a special occasion! *wink*

Aromatic Latte

I ordered The Humming Bird and latte to go along with it. The Humming Bird is carrot cake-like but with banana, pineapple and walnut, topped with cream cheese. The texture was moist and it was delicious! Goes best with the aromatic latte! Totally enjoyable afternoon…
