Bright red storefront
Tomorrow we would be flying off to Iceland so we needed to drop off one luggage at The Rubens At The Palace today (so that we only bring one luggage with us to Iceland). Side note: The Rubens were great to allow us to store our luggage for 4 days!
We had just dropped off our luggage at The Rubens and were searching for a light lunch, as we had a large sausage roll from The Pasty Shop just before we boarded the tube. Found Tiles Restaurant and Wine Bar just diagonally across and serving fish and chips, so we popped right in!

Beautiful fish & chips
Hubby finally got to try Fish and Chips (haddock in Cajun beer batter, hand cut chips with mint mushy peas and tartar sauce) (£12.95, though the menu said £11.50) while I settled for the Smoked Cauliflowers Soup drizzled with Truffle Oil (£4.95).

Cauliflower soup
The soup was really delicious! It was creamy, aromatic and full of flavours! The fish and chips was also good with a crispy batter and delicious smashed peas with a minty taste. There was an ongoing autumn promotion where a complimentary 175ml of white or red wine was served with any main or salad ordered, so it was really quite value for money!
Note: A 12.5% service charge is included in the final bill.
