Maco Cafe & Bakery @Johor, Malaysia

We were back to Taman Sutera Utama 五福城 again! Our gang rather like this place because the Sutera Mall 五福城广场 is definitely less crowded than City Square Mall, and there is this stretch of shops just opposite the mall, for more shopping, and food. Lots of cafe within this vicinity too 🙂

We had tried Just Want Coffee, The Bear and Fish during our previous trip, and today, we decided to check out Maco Cafe & Bakery.

There was a Teatime Combo on weekdays 3pm to 6pm (excluding Public Holidays), where you could choose pair a Mille Crepe (usual price RM9.90) with any coffee beverage (excluding Cafe Brulee series, so usual prices range from RM6.90 to RM11.90) or premium tea selections (usual price RM11.90).

We picked the 3-in-1 Mille Crepe (combination of vanilla, chocolate and strawberry), as well as the Yam and Red Bean Mille Crepe, along with 2 Teas, and a Flat White (RM9.90) and Cafe Latte (RM9.90).

For some reason, only the Cafe Latte had latte art… poor hubby had some “abstract art” for his Flat White 😛 The drinks were pretty alright. For the 3-in-1 Mille Crepe, it was probably best to taste the different flavours on its own, for the vanilla flavour was completely overpowered by the chocolate and strawberry flavours. On its own, we enjoyed all the flavours. The Yam and Red Bean Mille Crepe had bits of red beans, giving it a different layer of texture. We liked both!

Service was rather slow despite the lack of crowd, so do be patient if you are coming here.
