Shanghai has no less of its share of cafes and we managed to visit quite a few during our short stay.
We typically interspersed our cafe hopping in between meals and shopping/walking. And sometimes we just happened to see some interestingly-looking cafes and just decided to try. 🙂 Such is the luxury of vacation…
In general, the cafes in Shanghai are decent but not exceptional, compared to places like Melbourne, London or even Hong Kong. Nevertheless it was still a great experience to taste the coffee in Shanghai and enjoy the great weather, atmosphere and most importantly, the company! 🙂
不二茶铺 & 七十二闹
We got tired halfway through the walking at 外滩 The Bund and 南京路步行街 Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street.
So we popped into one of the shopping malls (悦荟mosaic) to take a break at 不二茶铺 with a cup of 金妍茶后奶盖 Cream Tea (¥23) and a cup of Latte (¥26) from 七十二闹. We thought they were not bad!

BUZZTIME Coffee
Yet another much-needed break as our legs were near breaking while walking in 新天地 Xin Tian Di. Pretty decent latte 🙂

植趣 Coffee Zhi Qu Coffee
Just diagonally across our hotel, there was this little take-away coffee stall, and we thought to grab a cup to enjoy our last moments in our hotel room prior to checking out 😛
Manned by a young lady who could do a pretty decent latte art, we got our drinks pretty fast!
The 拿铁咖啡 Cafe Latte (¥20) and 红丝绒拿铁 Red Velvet Latte (¥20) were both milky and easy to drink. The Red Velvet Latte is made up of beet root powder, cocoa powder and milk, which reminded me of a very milky version of the Red Velvet Cake 😛

Our final cafe stop was inside 浦东机场 Pudong Airport, where we shared a Latte and Cheesecake (¥79) while waiting to board the plane.
