Salt Tapas & Bar @Raffles City

We had wanted to use our voucher for Eat At Taipei and so we met at Raffles City after work today. To our surprise, Eat At Taipei had been replaced by Bangkok Jam! Faintz! The voucher had indicated an outlet here… But I guessed it’s our own fault for not checking out prior to coming down 😦 Oh well, this gave us a chance to check out other places that we have yet to try though 😛

And that was how we ended up at Salt Tapas & Bar 🙂

We tried the grilled barramundi with warm potato, green goddess dressing, crab meat, and cucumber pickle ($35) and BBQ pork ribs with mash and pickle ($32) and we were quite wow-ed by the food!

The grilled barramundi was really cooked to perfection; firm without being tough, and the creamy sauce had a hint of wasabi that really whetted our appetites! The little potatoes were quite crunchy too!

It was quite tough to slice the meat off the ribs, so we ended up using our fingers instead, and it was finger-licking good! We loved the creamy and buttery whipped potato as well! The pickle was too sour for my liking and was like sour kimchi minus the spiciness, but the whipped potato complemented it quite well.

In all, a satisfying meal which was slightly pricey as the portions were not very large, but quite worth trying out 🙂
