Simple exterior
Wifey was meeting her friends at Arbite so I took a trip to The Coffee Daily and waited for her there. We had been wanting to come here but were distracted the last time. So this time I was determined not to be distracted and went straight to The Coffee Daily.
I had heard a lot about this place, about how it started with a few friends, and had been meaning to visit. Fate has it that it changed hand before we visited, and this is now the second owner. But they kept the name and most of the deco.
There is a long, tall table in the alfresco area and more seats inside with air-con. Not much interior deco was done, and they left the rustic look-and-feel with cement floors and plastered walls, giving the place a nice, old-school charm to it. It helps, of course, that the surrounding environment is also within a quaint neighbourhood..

Simple fare
It was just after lunch and a downpour and they had just hosted a birthday party! How lucky me…
Since the party was just barely over, there were not many customers around, so I get to sit at the sofa beside the X’mas tree. I ordered a Latte and an Apple Crumble Tart. There was of course the popular Rainbow Cake but it cost a hand and a leg! So I rather skip it. Haha… 🙂
The latte was smooth and rather big-cupped. The tart was tasty but not memorable. What I liked about this place was the homely feel and I could just sit here and read Sunday Times, sip my coffee, wandering the Saturday away while waiting for wifey… Such is life…
