We were quite famished for dinner and decided that we should have a great meal for this last night in 四国 Shikoku!
So we found some seats (and drinks) in Seattle Best Coffee in 高松 Takamatsu which had free wifi, and off we went in search of good food in cyberland. 😛
We had listed a few and started walking around to find them only to realise that most of them were closed, mainly because it was a Sunday today. So sad…
Then we laid our eyes on this 焼鳥 yakitori shop and the bright lights attracted us. Plus it advertised もつ鍋 Motsu Nabe! We were definitely in need of hot pot to counter this very cold day!
We of course ordered a もつ鍋 Motsu Nabe (¥980), and an assortment of 焼鳥盛り合わせ Yakitori (¥780) and 串焼き盛り合わせ Kushiyaki (¥780) to share around. The もつ鍋 Motsu Nabe was a bit of a disappointment, as it was not what we were expecting… What happened to all the innards? This was very different from what we had tried before. However, the feeling of gathering around a hot pot in such cold weather was very good, and the soup itself was delicious and heartwarming.
The grilled items really impressed us, and we ordered second rounds! The meats were tender and juicy, and nothing was overly burnt or overcooked. In particular, つくね Tsukune was excellent. In fact, everything that had pictures in the Japanese menu was superb… And now you know how we ordered 😛
We spent ¥3700 in total, and had a very enjoyable dinner.
