We popped over next door to Gemmills for some drinks after our delicious burger at Burger Joint.
Well, we had initially wanted to have drinks only, but plans are always subject to changes 🙂
- The Duck Rillette ($10 nett) was like a paté, which reminded us a little of tuna mayo, but with a much more intense flavour. It went very well with the bread, and the crunchy pickles was refreshingly sour.
- The Quiche ($8) was pretty standard in our opinion, quite nice but without the wow factor.
- Hubby enjoyed his Flat White ($4), which was strong and acidic.
- Unfortunately, I felt that the Aurora’s Lemon & Ginger Tea ($4) was a bit weak, and I could barely taste any hint of lemon.
Iced water is available for free, and the service was friendly and pleasant. There was no free WiFi though.
We did enjoy just lounging around, enjoying the music and food. What a lovely way to end our mid-week!
