We were in town today and after checking out the whole of Plaza Singapore, the comfortable plush seats here at Arteastiq called out to us!
We decided to try out the weekday set lunches here (available from 11am to 1.30pm) which consists of a main and a specialty tea (or coffee) from $16++ onwards.
We got ourselves The Prince of Monte Carlo ($25++) and Golden Sands Big Breakfast ($24++). For drinks, it was Honey Lavender Tea and Latte.
So what exactly was Prince of Monte Carlo?
It was Short Ribs Croque Monsiuer, which consisted of brioche, shredded beef short ribs with melted cheddar cheese, arugula salad, sunny side-up, and sweet potato fries. Thankfully, the menu had pretty clear description, for it was rather impossible to tell what is was, from the lovely name. The sweet potato fries were awesome!
Golden Sands was the Big Breakfast, which came with a choice of eggs (we chose scrambled), chicken sausages, turkey bacon, sauteed mushrooms, cherry tomato salad, crispy sweet potato chips and toasted artisan breads. This was a rather average Big Breakfast, and was not bad.
The highlight of the meal was the tea, which is of course, what this place specialises in. I like the tea well enough, with the lovely scent and flavour. The honey was served by the side, and it was yummy! Latte was pretty average, but who comes here for latte except for hubby 😛 Each drink came with 2 yummilicious cookies.
We liked the ambience here, and the seats were quite comfortable. It’s a lovely place for a girls’ catch-up session!
