Our niece had started her university studies in 京都 Kyoto, Japan, and we decided to go over for a visit during our holidays 🙂 Despite the typhoon midway during the trip, we still had a great time! Here was what we did:
Day 1
- Arrived at Kansai International Airport at 9:30am after a red-eye flight, took train to Osaka downtown and dropped luggage at hotel since we can’t check-in yet
- Roaming the shopping streets at 心斎橋 Shinsaibashi and 道頓堀 Dotonburi
- Lunch at 浪速割烹 喜川 Naniwa Kappo Kigawa
- Coffee break at 丸福珈琲店 Marufuku Coffee
- Rest in hotel
- Coffee at ミルポア Millpour Espresso Bar
- Dinner at ラー麺ずんどう屋 Ramen Zundou-ya
- Supper at 焼とりporc
Day 2
- Mini breakfast from アマム聖庵 Bakery
- Coffee at Streamer Coffee Company
- Lunch at 牛カツ京都勝牛 Gyutaktsu Kyoto Katsugyu
- Dinner at ワンダアカフェ Wonder Cafe
Day 3
- Breakfast at Happiness Cafe
- Hald-day trip to 貴船 Kibune and 鞍馬 Kurama
- Coffee at メゾンカイザー Maison Kayser
- Dinner at 寿しのむさし Sushi no Musahi

Day 4 – Typhoon Day

- Dinner in Airbnb lodging with Ichiran Instant noodles from Don Quijote (it’s called Don Don Donki in Singapore) with onsen egg from supermarket
Day 5

- Lunch at 豆腐料理 松ヶ枝 Tofu Ryouri Matsugae
- Coffee at アラビカ 京都嵐山 % Arabica Kyoto Arashiyama
- Strolled within 錦市場 Nishiki Market

- Strolled around 祇園 Gion
- Supper at やきとり一番 Yakitori Ichiban
Day 6

- Home sweet home
