New kid on the block near the area and we were quite lucky to get seats immediately on a Friday night!
Then we realised that it was already last order 5 minutes after we were seated, haha! Without hesitation, we ordered:
- Eggs Benedict ($18++): This was pancakes served with tomato, asparagus, poached egg, bacon and hollandaise sauce. We were plesantly surprised that the 7-grain pancakes were not as dense as we expected; in fact, they were slightly chewy and we liked the texture. The poached egg was 3/4 runny and 1/4 slightly overcooked, but the runny egg yolk with hollandaise sauce went very well with the pancakes. We also liked the soft bacon that was less salty. Did not get to try the asparagus, but it must have been good, since hubby wiped them out.
- Karaage Chicken Waffle ($19++): We wanted some variety, and this was the only savoury waffle option. We preferred the pancakes, haha. The chicken was not overly oily, and the skin was crispy, while the meat was quite tender. It came with this side dip that tasted almost like egg mayo, and this very light honey.
- Latte ($5.50++): This was a rather lovely huge mug of strong latte 🙂
- Special Milk Tea ($5.50++): I loved my hot milk tea! Very smooth and silky, this was way better than the “royal milk tea” that I had during the Japan trip last year.
There is a current promotion for a sampling platter ($15++), where you get to try pancakes, waffles, and French toast. We gotta find some time to try out the French toast!
