​檀島咖啡餅店 Honolulu Coffee Shop @Wan Chai, Hong Kong

After getting a queue number at 甘牌燒鵝 Kam’s Roast Goose, we crossed the road to 檀島咖啡餅店 Honolulu Coffee Shop for a quick lunch first. At 2pm, it was fairly crowded, but there were still seats available. Once settled down, we opted to share a main and of course, the famous egg tart.

• 蛋撻 Egg Tart (HK$9): Hubby preferred this version of egg tart, with its super flaky crust. The filling was really sweet though, but it was definitely way better than the ones we tried in Singapore.
• 咖喱牛腩意粉 Beef Curry with Spaghetti (HK$58): The beef was quite tender and yummy, and potato was soft and delicious, but the curry was served lukewarm and was extremely salty! The spaghetti was alright.
• 蜂蜜梨茶 Hot Honey Pear Tea (HK$22): The drink was mildly sweet and tart, and I liked the pear bits in the drink.
• 香濃鴛鴦 Hot Yuanyang (HK$20): It tasted more like coffee, and was just alright.

We spent about half an hour here, before heading back to queue for 甘牌燒鵝 Kam’s Roast Goose…
