“We specialize in Tarts!”

Cosy interior
We were one-third through the Tiong Bahru Heritage Trail (that’s another entry altogether!) and chanced upon this cafe! Enticed by the word “homemade waffles”, we decided to stop here for a short break 🙂
Cafe Latte ($4.80) for hubby as usual, Green Tea Latte ($5.80) for me, and a Dynasty Cherries Tart ($8.80) to share.
No waffles? Yeah… Coz the staff recommended that tarts were their specialty, and the best-sellers were the seasonal fruit tarts, so we decided to try this particular flavour instead… Haha!

Nice combi!
The tart was really excellent! The generous amounts of fresh cherries, blackberries and raspberries were so yummy-licious! Loved the pastry, which was so buttery and a good bite; it didn’t crumble to bits easily, but yet not not hard. The custard cream was light and lovely. The entire combination was just irresistible 🙂
I found the green tea latte a bit too milky and sweet though, without a hint of bitterness. Hubby’s cafe latte was… Normal, he said. Difficult to please! Haha
We would have chilled out here longer, as there were many atas magazines for browsing (not Cleo and stuff, but more of Luxury properties, branded stuff), but we read that Loo’s Hainanese Curry Rice was closing at 2pm (or till sold out), and it was already past 1pm! Gotta rush for lunch 😛
