We are not clueless!
We had thought about coming here for quite a while (it opened in Feb 2015), but somehow, we were always distracted by other food options in the area, and also a bit apprehensive if a cafe who calls itself clueless, has any clue about making good food and drinks? But here we were today!
This is a simple setup much like other cafes, with simple tables and chairs, ordering and payment at the counter, eat and go type of cafe. The interior is brightly lit and roomy enough to not give a ‘pressurizing’ feel. Overall a very homely feel and we enjoyed the ambience very much.
Our first thoughts were that the prices were very reasonable in this location, and there was no GST or service charge. Small wonder that it was fully packed!
We waited about 5 minutes for a table, and quickly placed our orders for Rancher Eggs ($8.50), Breakfast Waffle with Honey Baked Ham ($9), Chai Tea Latte ($5) and a 5oz White ($4.50).
We didn’t have to wait long for our drinks! Hubby was quite pleased with his coffee, which was strong and not too acidic. I liked that the chai tea was served with hot milk by the side! It gave me a chance to taste the tea by itself first, which was quite lovely, but the tea got a little drowned by the milk taste after mixing everything together, haha.
Foodwise, the waffles were crispy inside-out, and the not-too-salty ham and gooey egg complemented the waffles very well. Unfortunately, my poached eggs were overcooked and the vinegar taste a bit overpowering, but the multi-grain toast and salad were actually quite nice.
