The weather in Penang is a killer!
So after our sumptuous dim sum breakfast, we went on a Street Art hunt for the awesome and beautiful street arts in George Town.
In the midst of our hunting, we needed to take refuge from the scorching sun. And we happened to past by Black Kettle so we quickly went inside to take shelter!
This modern cafe offers quite an extensive menu, from a whole section of bakery items to breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner items, as well as desserts, coffees, teas and wines for everyone!
The eggs benedict and pancakes photos on IG looks so yummylicious but we were still full from the morning spread so we only ordered:
- Blueberry Yoghurt Cake (RM8.50++): This was heavenly! It was dense, moist and not overly sweet.
- Caffe Latte Cold (RM11++): This was saviour to hubby as it cooled him down almost immediately.
- Honey Lemon (RM8++): This was surprisingly good, as I could really taste the lemon in the drink when most honey lemons were quite watered down… This had a very good balance of honey and lemon, and I loved it.

We walked past this cafe when we were heading our way to a
I wanted to try out this cafe as there was this supposedly very yummy blueberry tart (limited to 6 per day).
It was light and not overly intense, and we rather enjoyed it with our 拿鐵 Latte (NT110) and 唐寧伯爵鮮奶茶 Earl Grey Milk Tea (NT110, additional NT10 for hot version).
A cafe spanning 4 floors, this was a generous place in terms of space and free wifi and charging points. The minimum spending is 1 drink, and some tables have minimum pax rules. You can spend the entire day here, as evidenced by plenty of people studying, working, or in discussion with their laptops.
The 拿鐵 Latte (NT80) here was not bad, and I found the hot 南法莊園 Lavender and Grape Tea (NT70) quite nice, though I thought that some syrup might have been used. The sweetness of grapes was very distinct and not too artificially sweet, and as one sips the tea, the lavender fragrance fills up the entire mouth, very nice!
We were caught in the rain
We woke up late this morning (we wanted to sleep till we wake up naturally 睡到自然醒) and naturally skipped breakfast because we intended to go for a big Japanese feast early!

Well, we were here for tea break (though everyone else appeared to be having lunch at 3pm).
We were nearby to visit a very popular TCM clinic, and needed to rest for a while, and trusty FourSquare suggested here.
